Spring, particularly in any breeding venture is normally a time of new beginnings. Sadly early Spring 2014 brought a heart breaking end. Our beloved Section C stallion, Rhosymeirch Surprise had had intermittent bouts of laminitis in his later years. Normally successfully managed by veterinary and farriery care, when he was little unsound this year we had no inkling of the tragedy that was to  happen. Xrays showed that his hoof had deteriorated so badly we had no option but to do the last kind thing we could for him to prevent him any pain. The gap left by his loss is too huge to describe. My pony of a lifetime, I shall miss him always.
