Being a member of www.saddlesoap.co.uk brought an added bonus when one of my friends there forwarded me an advert for a dun sec C filly. Whilst nothing could fill the huge gap left by the loss of our darling dun mare Menai Carema, this filly was a granddaughter of Menai Fury and Lyn Cwmcoed and only a yearling. We knew we would be hard pressed to find these bloodlines in a few years time and set off on the long haul to Kent. Nicki had been to see her and said that although in her winter woollies she didnt look her most glamorous, having seen her photo as a foal she knew she was lovely then. With a detour to see Nicki and Brian, her dad, in Essex and of course to see Surprise and Maenan Captain Corelli we found Willow and home she came. She reminds us so much of dear old Carema and we wait to see how she blossoms when the winter woollies come off. Personality wise she is a dead ringer for the old girl so lets wait and see how things go. Willow is by Synod Ruskin and out of a Menai Fury mare so we can ask for no better bloodlines to suit us. We will keep you posted on Willows progress.
