Blonde Bombshell

Autumn 2002 saw us taking a trip to Brecon Pony Sales. We didn't take a trailer as of course we had no intention of buying anything. The anything we weren't going to buy is a stunning palomino Sec A filly called Afan Cowslip. Cowslip is by Gilmans Ganymede and out of Pendock Chicory. The real draw for us with Cowslip was the fact that she is a grand daughter of Pendock Buttonhole. We have always had a soft spot for Buttonhole and actually helped 'polish' him the day he won a Welsh Pony and Cob medal at Monmouth Show. Luckily good friends of ours, John and Betty Collorick and Gordon Nichols were at the sale and had been better behaved than us and were going home empty so we were able to get a lift for Cowslip. She gets more and more beautiful all the time. The only regret I have about the day is the one that got away. A superb colt foal by Gleiniant Snaffles was sold at the most bargain price. I do hope the purchasers show him as he really was the business. Wonder where he is now.
